Early Intervention Services

Triangle Center offers a Early Intervention services for persons, adults or adolescents,  who do not have a substance abuse or dependence problem, but are considered to be at-risk of developing  substance use problems.  These are organized non-residential services in which the primary goal is to provide early intervention/pre-treatment services in the least restrictive environment possible.

Early intervention services are designed to explore and address problems or risk factors that appear to be related to substance use.  The goal is to assist the individual in recognizing  the harmful consequences of inappropriate substance use.  The length of service varies.  It is determined by the individual's ability to comprehend the information provided, and to use the information to make behavior changes to avoid problems related to substance use.

These services are available to anyone over 12 years of age.  Clients younger than 12 years of age may be treated with written permission from the Department of Human Services Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse.
