| BUILDING WITHIN AND REACHING OUT Family Guidance Centers at Triangle Center is engaged in a campaign to raise $500 thousand in voluntary, tax-deductible contributions to support a major capital upgrade of its Springfield facility. This restoration and improvement of our physical plant reflects our long-term commitment to providing adults and youth in our community with high quality care in an attractive, modern, and safe environment. Family Guidance Centers at Triangle Center is a nonprofit, comprehensive inpatient/outpatient chemical dependency treatment center that also offers prevention and education services. It is very important that Initiative donors understand what we are not asking. We do not seek long-term support for new staff or new programs. Rather, we seek one-time support to purchase durable items that will directly support our mission but not indenture our valued supporters. With the use of these capital assets over time, FGC @ Triangle Center will realize a cost-offset from deferred replacement costs and these savings will be applied directly toward our charitable purpose: service to our clients. These clients are usually indigent, without a complete support system but very highly motivated to become healthy and productive. CAPITOL IMPROVEMENT NEEDS DESCRIBED Family Guidance Centers at Triangle Center’s main campus at Eleventh and Jefferson in Springfield is twenty years old. Much like a hospital, this 24 thousand square foot structure is in use 24 hours a day. At any given time up to sixty inpatients are in residence. The constant use of our facility strains the physical plant as well as interior and exterior equipment and treatments. Though structurally sound, Triangle Center facility is in major need of an overall renovation. Most of the large capital items we request are original to the building, and those that are mechanical are inefficient and therefore expensive to maintain and operate. Many other items are also outdated, broken, or in need of repair. BUDGET AND ACCOUNTABILITY Contributions garnered through this initiative will be deposited into Sangamon County Community Foundation Family Guidance Centers at Triangle Center Capital Improvement Fund. This Foundation Fund supports equipment needs, physical maintenance, and improvements at Triangle Center. The Foundation has been a leading supporter of charitable organizations throughout Central Illinois for the last 80 years. For major purchases, a standard three-bid process will be employed in choosing vendors. In all cases, proof of the expenditure (a receipt) with a fund statement will be provided to the donor. During the past twenty years, annual CPA financial and compliance audits have shown no material findings at Triangle Center. DONOR APPRECIATION AND RECOGNITION All Building Within and Reaching Out donors will be recognized. This recognition will be scaled to match donation size and will include:
