Healthcare Specialist: Associate degree in Psychology, Social Work or closely related curriculum, from an accredited institution preferred. CPR and First Aid Certification. IAODAPCA Certified Alcohol and Other Drugs Counselor or IAODAPCA Certified Assessment and Referral Specialist preferred. Duties: Works cooperatively with members of the nursing and medical staff to monitor client vital signs, observe urine drops, monitor clients, and chart all pertinent data. Performs intake assessments, treatment planning, aftercare planning, discharge planning, participates in case staffing and provides individual counseling and group facilitation to Detox clients.
